
Margaret L. Cullo
Former United States Deputy Treasury Secretary, leads the WWF Finance Practice, providing strategic direction, thought and content leadership for WWF’s global engagement with the financial sector. Prior to joining WWF, Cullo served as Vice President of Investment Policy for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OIC) and led the agency’s implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. She has worked as a team member in the establishment and implementation of the United States Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation in development assistance, leading the agency’s environmental and social assessments of major investment projects. She was previously responsible for global macroeconomic and development issues at the US Treasury and has extensive industry experience in sustainable investment, project finance and grant-making, having lived and worked in developing countries and emerging markets during her 25-year career. Cullo holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, with a concentration in international trade and finance and political and economic development.
